Adoption Quilts

These quilts have special meaning to the families who have collected each square of fabric. They have been given each unique piece of fabric which has a special meaning from friends, family, and others who are adopting. This is a tradition. It is called a "good wishes quilt". I really enjoy making these because of the special meaning. I am given a pile of fabric. I then cut each into a perfect square, lay them out in the pattern I choose, then sew them together. The family then receives a finished quit to take with them to China as they adopt their new addition to the family.

This one has sashing in between the squares
